Why it exists
ProgramAlpha is a coding-interview preparation platform built on a simple objection: grinding random problem lists trains recall, not recognition. Every problem is tagged with the DSA pattern it exercises, and problems are sequenced so that each one is attempted immediately after the pattern that unlocks it — so a technique is learned, used, and only then advanced from. The Practice Lab judges submissions locally in the browser, with no account required to try it and no round trip to a sandbox. Around that sit a Pattern Explorer, a System Design Blueprint, timed Interview Arena rooms, and Progress Pulse, which uses solve history to show which topics are actually costing points.
- Free tier, plus a paid Alpha Plus tier at ₹499/month, priced in INR or USD.
- Content is aimed at the Indian engineering interview loop, with company tags including Flipkart, Swiggy, Zomato, Paytm, PhonePe, Razorpay, Meesho and MakeMyTrip.
- Hosted as a subdomain of this site: programalpha.sunnikumar.com.
- Practice Lab
- A bank of curated problems with difficulty, topics and company tags. Filter, solve, and get a verdict instantly.
- Pattern Explorer
- The recurring patterns laid out with worked examples, so the trick is visible before a line of code is written.
- System Design Blueprint
- High- and low-level design modules structured as a repeatable 30-minute answer skeleton rather than a list of trivia.
- Interview Arena
- Timed mock rooms that reproduce the pacing, question format and rubric of a real interview round.
- Progress Pulse
- Streaks, topic coverage and confidence scores, used to steer preparation instead of merely reporting it.
- Alpha Tracks
- Sequenced learning paths that carry a learner from warm-ups to hard problems without guesswork about ordering.
